Build your Warrior around one melee weapon
For a practical Stormforge Warrior build, pick a melee weapon, match your damage perks to that weapon, and look for stagger openings. Add health if you need more room for mistakes while learning when to move in and when to back out.
Match the perks to the weapon
Player experience from the demo describes Warrior options for health, blunt damage, slashing damage, and stagger. Start with the damage type your weapon actually uses. If you often get interrupted or lose too much health before you can follow up, shift some attention to survivability and stagger instead of chasing more damage.
A prelaunch preview used health, aerial attacks, and stagger as one example. Aerial attacks are worth exploring if you already use them regularly. A player who spends most fights on the ground can start with the weapon perks they use every encounter.
Play for openings in co-op
The preview player did not find a dedicated aggro-pulling mechanic in their Warrior setup. In co-op, keep an eye on enemies closing on ranged teammates and take advantage of the openings you can create. Avoid assuming every enemy will stay focused on the Warrior.
The official Stormforge Steam page describes mixing skills from classes you unlock. Once the melee setup feels comfortable, use that flexibility to address a weakness you’re actually noticing.
FAQ
Should I take blunt or slashing damage?
Use the perk that matches your main weapon. Revisit the choice if you switch to a different weapon type.
Why put points into health?
Health gives you more room to make mistakes while learning enemy attack patterns at melee range.
Can a Warrior act as a dedicated tank?
The preview supports a melee role built around health and stagger. It did not establish a dedicated taunt that keeps enemies on the Warrior.
