Find the crystal near the heart of the storm
Clear a cursed storm by breaking its dark crystal. First, work toward the center of the storm area and look for what is protecting the crystal. Make space from hunting tornadoes on the way in so you can see the target and its defenses.
Remove the defense that is keeping the shield up
If the encounter uses shield generators, find and destroy the generators before going for the crystal. Other storms may require you to defeat the enemies guarding it, and larger encounters can have bosses. The developer’s storm spotlight describes these defenses as different ways the crystal can be guarded.
Break the exposed crystal
Once the defense is down, return to the crystal and break it. If the shield is still up, check the area again for an active generator or a defender you missed. Keep an exit in mind if tornado pressure makes it hard to finish the encounter safely.
