Use the opening shrine to get your bearings

Start in Whispering Vale, the first biome of the Stormforge demo. Use the opening shrine and quest prompts as your guide instead of looking for a universal set of coordinates. In one recorded demo run, the player reached the shrine and interacted with it to meditate before continuing the opening objectives.

Make your shelter the center of your route

Set up a shelter with a bed and crafting table and gather supplies on short trips from there. Cook food before heading farther out. Check the current quest before each trip so you know whether you’re looking for materials, moving toward a storm, or preparing for the boss. A base you can find again is more useful than trying to explore the whole Vale in one outing.

Follow storm objectives toward Squallreaver

Use the marked storm objectives to choose where to explore next. Work on the defenses around a storm’s crystal before trying to destroy it, and go back to your shelter if you need better equipment. As the demo objectives advance, prepare for Squallreaver rather than assuming you need to explore every path in the Vale. The developer’s November demo update changed terrain in newly generated areas, so a route based on landmarks and quest goals is easier to follow than an older map.

FAQ

Is Howling Woods part of the demo too?

Yes. The developer lists Whispering Vale and Howling Woods as the first two biomes in the demo.

Where should I go after the shrine?

Follow the opening quest prompts and work toward a shelter before making longer trips.

Will another player’s coordinates match my world?

Don’t count on it. The world is procedurally generated, and terrain changes in the November demo update applied to newly generated areas.
