Unlock recipes before gathering a full set of ingredients
Start with two places to look for Stormforge crafting and recipe unlocks: chests and the Merchant. The updated demo lets you learn recipes directly from chests. The Merchant also offers recipes, and an earlier demo update adjusted their costs.
When you have a particular piece of gear in mind, check which recipes you already know. That tells you whether your next step is finding the recipe or gathering the materials.
Make your base storage work for crafting
Place ingredient chests inside the base radius defined by your crystal pillar. The official Stormforge building spotlight explains that crafting can draw materials from storage in that area. Keep your frequently used ingredients within the radius so you don’t have to carry them back and forth.
If you can see the recipe but are short on ingredients, check where the materials are stored. If you can’t see the recipe at all, look for its unlock before reorganizing your chests.
Gather corrupted materials when a recipe calls for them
Developer material describes storm-corrupted variants of resources such as wood and stone. These can be needed for stronger gear. Check the actual recipe before heading into a corrupted area. That way you can gather what the upgrade calls for and leave before a long expedition becomes riskier than it needs to be.
The demo’s recipe and material availability can differ from the announced Early Access content. Plan your trip around the options you see in the build you’re playing.
