Check which build you’re playing before looking for blast runes

A player in a prelaunch Early Access build of Stormforge opened a blocked underground entrance in Howling Woods with a blast rune. If you’re playing the updated demo, don’t hunt for that rune. The developer’s October demo update removed blast runes and copper from the demo. The steps below describe the entrance the player opened in that preview build.

Craft a blast rune and aim at the blocked entrance

The player named the storm table as the place to craft blast runes in that build. Craft a rune at the storm table, take it to the closed underground entrance, then aim the rune at the blockage and fire it to open the passage. That’s the method the player used for this entrance.

Prepare for ghouls and archers inside

In the same player run, melee ghouls and ghoul archers appeared beyond the opened passage. Be ready to deal with enemies before moving deeper. If a melee enemy is already closing the gap, deal with the immediate threat before exposing yourself to ranged fire. Use the entrance as a place to pause and assess the room rather than rushing straight down.
